Klaus Fussmann °1938

The painter and graphic artist Klaus Fußmann became famous for his reinterpretation of classical genres such as landscape, flower and still life paintings. He was represented with his works in the Neue Nationalgalerie (1972), the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt (1982), Kunsthalle Bremen (1992) and in the Museum Ostwall in 2003. In addition to several awards, he received the Villa Romana Florenz Prize in 1972 and, most recently, the Schleswig-Holstein Art Prize in 2018. His works are to be found in the collections of the Museum Gunzenhauser, Chemnitz, the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, the Museum Moderner Kunst, Frankfurt and the Landesmuseum Schleswig-Holstein (source gallery Ludorff)
